Product Description

Ammonium Bisulfite, also known as ammonium hydrogen sulfate, is a clear yellowish solution when it is completely pure, with formula (NH4) HSO4. It is widely used in oil fields to remove oxygen.  Inorganic reducing agents, such as AMMONIUM BISULFITE, react with oxidizing agents to generate heat and products that may be flammable, combustible, or otherwise reactive. Their reactions with oxidizing agents may be violent. Sulfites and hydrosulfites (dithionites) can react explosively with strong oxidizing agents. Sulfites generate gaseous sulfur dioxide in contact with oxidizing acids and non oxidizing acids.
It is also used on photography industry along with caramel color Manufacturing, Oil field industries, upstream oil industry. In upstream oil field industry it is being used as an oxygen scavenger
